Nathanael's Post Prelim Reflections

I feel happy and relieved that my group has managed to squeeze past the preliminary round of this competition. Even though he had to go for a second round of prelims, I feel that our project will still be able to help the public and spread awareness about earthquakes.
I think that my group is in the right course heading into the semi-finals as we are going on schedule. We are working as a team and meeting up with our mentor regularly too. I hope that we will continue to work hard for the semi-finals.
After the comments by the judges in the preliminary round, I think that our project is a little too small-scaled and we should include more ways of creating awareness in order to serve the public more. Improvements can and should be made to make our project better.
I learned many things from the preliminaries judging too. For instance, I learnt that it is important for one to be open to advice so that one knows how to improve because outsiders’ perspective may be very different from one’s. I also learned that to be a good servant leader, I must make certain sacrifices and use my best effort to serve the public. These lessons are very valuable to me and will help to build up my character in life.
All in all, I think that our project will benefit the public and I am proud to be able to make such a contribution. Even though we may not make it through to the finals, my group will strive to the best and use all most effort to continue with this project.
